You can restrict the printed part of the image by selecting the objects to be printed. To do this, select the required objects (Text Document – Text fragment) and call the Send selection to preview...
from menu File.
The document will then be opened in the preview window, and:
•for graphic documents and models:
•printing of the selected area is automatically enabled (in the group of buttons Output Mode of the Parameter Panel when Specified area button is pressed, see section Printing an area of the sheet),
•the print area is a selection bounding rectangle, that is, in addition to the selected objects, all objects located entirely or partially inside the selection bounding rectangle are printed as well.
•for text documents: the selection is placed at the top of the page regardless of the actual position of the selection in the text;
•additionally for drawings and text documents:
•The filter settings are automatically adjusted: the sheet elements (frame, title block, etc.) are excluded from printing. (If required, you can enable the printing of these elements, see section Setting print filtersIn this case, if you print a text document, the entire sheet's elements will be printed, and if you print a drawing, only the parts of the elements inside the selection frame will be printed.
•additionally for multi-sheet drawings:
•since you can only select one print area on a sheet, several print areas are created: one per each sheet located inside the selection bounding rectangle or intersecting with the selection bounding rectangle;
•any sheets located outside the selection bounding rectangle or not intersecting with the selection bounding rectangle, are not sent to preview.
When working with The Send selection to preview... command is not available with BOM.
