Step-by-step instructions
1.Run the Detailing — Majority Surface Finish — Set/Modify command.
Controls for parameters of the majority surface finish designations will appear on the Parameter Panel and a designation phantom will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the drawing.
2.Select the sign type in the majority surface finish designation by clicking the necessary button in the Machining Method group:
Not Specified,
Delete Material Layer,
Keep Material Layer.
1.Create a caption for the designation. To do this, click Text field on the Parameter Panel or the text field on the designation phantom. This will start the Add Text subprocess.
During this subprocess, the text field on the designation phantom can be edited. Double-clicking this field opens the user menu containing the surface finish parameters Ra, Rz, Rmax and their values.
After this subprocess is terminated, the system will return to the designation parameters setup process.
2.If you want to add a sign in parentheses to the majority surface finish, enable the Add Sign in Parentheses option.
3.By default, the majority surface finish designation is placed in the upper right-hand corner of the first sheet of the drawing, at the distance of 7 mm from the upper line of the marquee and 8 mm from the right line of the marquee. The Auto Locate toggle switch of the Parameter Panel is set to I (enabled).
If you want to change the position of the designation, set the toggle switch to 0 (disabled). The designation snap point will appear on the phantom and a field for setting coordinates of the snap point will appear on the Parameter Panel. Set the required coordinates in the field or drag the designation by the snap point with the mouse.
4.To complete setting of the designation, click Create Object
.
The majority surface finish designation will appear on the drawing.
Use the Finish
button to cancel creation of the designation.
