Subprocess of text input |
Scroll |
While creating various objects – dimensional captions, designations, tables, etc. It is required to enter text. For that, the special subprocess Add Text is used, which is started in creation or editing an object.
On transition to the text input subprocess, KOMPAS switches to the mode of working with text – on the Parameters toolbar, elements of text setup appear, and the set of commands of the main menu changes.
The set of elements on the Parameters toolbar is varied depending on which object is used to enter text. The elements of text setup unavailable to the current object are displayed in gray color or are hidden. A detailed description of elements of the Parameters toolbar used for text setup is given below.
To complete the text input subprocess, use the buttons Create object
(changes are saved) and Finish
(changes are not saved). While working with some objects, for example, a dimensional text or a caption in designation, you can end text input with changes saved by clicking in any free field of the drawing.
View caption elements
When Editing a view caption as a text object In the Main section of the Parameter Panel there may be the following buttons: Reference, Designation, Unfolded, Scale, Rotated, Angle, Sheet, Zone. Using these buttons, you can configure the contents of a view caption. The description of these buttons is given in table Elements of view caption setup.
While editing a view caption in the context of changing its parameters, the structure of the caption is configured not in the text input subprocess, but in the process of editing the view properties.
