Editing a view caption as a text object |
Scroll |
The view caption is a text object, therefore, to edit it, you can use the practices characteristic of these objects.
To change the position of a view caption, select it, and then move and/or rotate it with the mouse.
|
When you rotate the view, the rotation angle of the view caption changes so that it remains parallel to the X axis of the absolute coordinate system. |
To set up the location, you can also use the Edit Location command (the command is called when editing a caption text from the context menu). After invoking the command, the Caption process starts up, which allows to change the slope angle of the text lines, to select the method of text positioning relative to the snap point, the view of text display (normal or mirrored), and to set the snap point.
To change the contents and/or detailing of caption, double-click on it or invoke the View caption... command from the context menu of the view. This will start subprocess of text input. The view caption setup elements will appear on the Parameter Toolbar:
•Elements of the main section (buttons Designation, Scale, Unfolded, etc.) allow you to modify the composition of the caption; the description of the buttons is provided in the table. Elements of view caption setup:
•the Format section allows to change the formatting of the caption text, for example, to select the font, to configure indents, etc.;
•the Insertion section allows to insert various objects, for example, text patterns, special signages, characters, etc. into the caption.
In the editing mode, you can also perform the following actions:
•enter an arbitrary text into any place of the caption,
•for a non-associative view – change the parameters of the link which is part of the caption, or convert the link into plain text using the Edit link and Explode reference commands, respectively.
|
You cannot change references to a detailing object in the caption of an associative view. That would mean a break of link between the view and the detailing object and would make it impossible for the associative view to exist. |
