Creating, editing, and deleting a view caption |
Scroll |
A view caption is created:
•automatically when a view related to the detailing element is created,
•manually:
•during setup of parameters of a view by adding the required elements into the caption (possible both during creation of a view and while editing its parameters),
•using the View caption command invoked from the context menu of the view.
During creation of a caption, it is possible to configure its structure and the detailing parameters using the elements on the Parameter Toolbar. Depending on the method of creation of a caption, these settings are performed while working with view parameters (see section Parameters of the caption) or in the Subprocess of text input.
To set up the structure of a caption, the buttons Reference, Designation, Expanded, Scale, Rotated, Angle, Sheet, and Zone are used. Detailing parameters are set by means of text setting elements.
Further on, you can reposition the caption, its structure, and parameters of display.
The position of a view caption changes in the same way as that of a regular text caption in a graphic document. Repositioning methods are described in section Editing a caption.
Change of the structure and parameters of caption display is possible:
•while editing the view parameters; actions are performed in the same way as during creation of a caption;
•while editing a caption as a text object, i.e. separately from the view to which it belongs, see section Editing a view caption as a text object.
If it is not required to display the view caption, delete it or exclude all the displayed elements from its structure.
To show a caption again, enter its editing and enable display of the required elements.
View captions can be copied and moved through the clipboard. After insert of a view caption from the clipboard, it will be converted into the plain text on the drawing. At the same time, if the caption is inserted into the document from where it was copied, then the links available in the caption retail links to their sources. If a view caption is inserted into another document, then the links of references to the sources break up – the links are displayed in red.
