Selection of font and setting its parameters |

During creation of various design-technology documentation laid out in compliance with the requirements of ESKD, standard drawing fonts are applied (it is just they are used in the text styles shipped with the system). And for decoration of posters, brochures and other similar materials, it is possible to select fonts of the most varied typefaces.

Since KOMPAS-3D is primarily oriented towards the release of technical documentation, the setup of text parameters differs somewhat from that in universal text processors.
The main difference is the purpose of symbol height, intervals and interline spacing not in points (points) but in millimeters as it is accepted for drawings.
In the mode of text processing, the name of the current font and an example of its typeface are displayed in the respective fields of the Parameters toolbar.
To set the font parameters, use the Font Parameters... 
command.
After fetching a command from the menu (context menu), the screen displays a dialog allowing to set parameters of the current font.

On setting up the font parameters on the Parameters toolbar in the Symbolgroup:
•select the font name in the Typeface field,
•specify the method for drawing symbols in the Typefacegroup of elements,
•set the color of symbols in the Color field,
•in the Height and Width fields, set the symbol sizes.
The font parameters set by you will be used on entry of text until you change them.
