Text cursor and management thereof

Scroll

The text cursor is a vertical blinking hatch. It shows where the text, illustration or a table will be entered the next moment. The cursor height is equal to the current font height; if the italic typeface is enabled, the cursor is displayed inclined, if not straight.

The text cursor is displayed in the working field of the text document immediately after its creation or loading. The paragraph in which the cursor is placed is regarded as current.

In the field of a drawing or a fragment, the text cursor appears in a special marquee after running a command to create a caption (see section Creating a Caption) or tables (see Section Tables).

The position of the text cursor on the current tab of the document remains unchanged when switching to other windows. When loading a document, the cursor automatically is placed into the text start position.

It is possible to move the text cursor both using a mouse and with the keyboard. To control the cursor, keys represented in the table are used.

In the text entry mode on the drawing, the action of keys applies only to the current text fragment (it is limited by a thin dimensional marquee). To switch to this mode, double-click the required caption. The cursor remains in the position where it was at the moment of mouse double-click.
