Configuration of the text editor parameters for the KOMPAS-3D system is performed in the Edit dialog, fetched with the Setup – Parameters.... — System — Text Editor — Edit command.

Scale factor |
Enter the coefficient of image magnification or reduction in the window. The scale of image changes on pressing the keyboard shortcuts <Ctrl>+<+> and <Ctrl>+<->, respectively, or on rotation of the mouse wheel with the <Ctrl>key pressed. |

Undo Steps |
Enter the number of operations which can be undone and repeated during work. As this value increases, there increases the amount of system resources (memory) to support the list of the executed operations. The number of steps should be reasonably substantiated. It is recommended to set the number within the range from 10 to 30. |

Group Similar Actions |
To make similar actions be saved in the list for undoing as a single action, enable this option. In so doing, all merged actions will be undone or repeated at a time. Examples of similar actions can be input of one and the same symbol, cursor movement into the same direction. |

Thickness |
Set desired thickness (in pixels) for the image of the text boundaries on the screen. The setting is available for the solidline style. |

Color |
To fetch a dialog for changing the object color, press the Color button. |
|
Line |
Select the required line style (solid, dashed, or dotted) to display an object on the screen. |
The appearance of the configured dimensional text boundaries is shown in a preview window, which allows to estimate the changes made.
To complete the setup, press the OK button. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
