Sorting letters

The field defines which characters and in which order will be assigned to objects of layout. It is possible to enter only characters into this field (both capital, and lower case). Repetition of characters is not allowed.

Once all the characters of the list have been used up, the same characters in the same order, but with addition of the lower numerical index are assigned to the objects: A1, B1, ... ; then A2, B2, ... and so on till A9, B9.

Sorting Order

The group of controls allows to define the order of automatic assignment of literal designations to objects of various types.

In the list, names of layout object types whose designations can be automatically sorted are displayed.

The priority of objects of a certain type is determined by the position of the type name in the list. To increase the priority of objects of the required type, select its name in the list and press the Move Up button, and to decrease – the Move Down button. The selected name will be moved by one item in the indicated direction.

During setup of the model document, the list contains only one type of objects – datum designation.

Enable sorting by defalut for:

The group of options allows to indicate the object types to which literal designations will be automatically assigned.

Enable the options conforming to the required object types. The action of options applies only to newly created objects.

If during creation of an object the Parameters toolbar enables/disables the Auto-sortingoption, then in the Enable sorting by default for: group automatically enables/disables an option with the name of objects of the same type.

On setting up the model document, available is only one option – Datum designation. Its action extends to all datum designations available in the model.
