Drawing settings for a line with breaks for a graphical document are performed in the Line with bends dialog, which is called by the command Settings — Parameters... — Current drawing/fragment — Break lines — Line with breaks.
The dialog allows for selecting the default amplitude, the number and type of bends, as well as setting the line jut outside the starting and ending points. For more convenience, an explanatory figure is included into the dialog.

Enter or set a bend amplitude using a counter. Amplitude – distance between the line and the bend point which is maximally remote from it. |

Enter or set – using a counter – the value of jut of the line outside the starting and ending points. |

Number of bends |
Enter or set an integer number of bends using a counter. |

Type of Bends |
Select a variant of draw for the bend: •Type 1 – skew symmetric with two vertices, •Type 2 – axisymmetric with three vertices. |

If the set number of kinks with the current parameters does not fit between the final points of the line, then the maximum possible integer number of kinks is built. |
Click OK after parametrization. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
