The selection of default parameters when working with zones is performed in the Creating zones dialog, which is invoked by the Settings - Parameters.... — System — Model Editor — Zones — Creation command.
The description of options contained in the dialog is given in the table.

Create zones only in absolute SC |
•If the option is enabled, then for the creation of a new zone, the global coordinate system is automatically selected. •If the option is disabled, then for creation of a new zone in the model, the current CS is chosen by the system. |

Select objects within the zone only on the first level of the current document. |
•If this option is enabled, then using zones you can select objects designed directly in the model, and first-level components. Components of the second and subsequent levels cannot be selected. •If this option is disabled, then using zones you can select objects designed directly in the model, and components of any level. |
To complete the setup, click OK. Click Cancel to discard changes and close the dialog box.
