Control and connecting points are special objects used to create models of pipelines, cables, harnesses, etc. To build these systems there are specialized KOMPAS-3D Add-Ons.
Control and connection points are included in parts and assembly units that are created for subsequent placement by means of applications in pipelines, cables, harnesses, etc. Control points ensure the arrangement of parts and assembly units along the system’s trajectory, and the attachment points ensure the correct alignment of them with each other and with the track elements. Arrangement and docking models made with the help of mates.

Although control and connection points are special objects used by the application, you can use them, for example, to mark up and designate directions within models. Control and connecting points, as well as the axis (s) of the connecting point can participate in mating as ordinary point and straight-line objects. |
