Subprocess of selecting objects |
Scroll |
When performing some commands, the object selection is done in a special subprocess.
To select the desired objects, specify them using the mouse in the graphic area. You can select multiple objects at once using an encompassing or cutting marquee. For more details on selecting objects...
The selected objects are highlighted, and their names appear in the Objects field.
If you need to remove an object from the selected list, use one of the following methods:
•specify that object once again in the document graphic area,
•click the "x" icon in the appropriate object row in the list (the icon appears when you hover the mouse pointer over the object row),
•Select the object row in the list and click the Delete
button (the button appears after selecting the object); this method can be used to delete multiple objects.
When the list of objects is ready, click Create Object
in the header area of the Parameter Panel. The system will enter the process of performing the main command – the command for which the objects were selected.
The Objects field remains in the Parameter Panel, its name becomes a link. Clicking this link launches the subprocess for selecting objects again. This may be needed, for example, to add objects to the list. Removing objects from the list using the "x" icon and the Delete
button can be performed without entering the object selection subprocess.

The subprocess of selecting objects can be launched automatically after invoking some commands, for example commands for shifting objects, plotting copies etc. This happens in the case objects are not selected before invoking the command. |
