KOMPAS-3D allows you to create groups of spatial points evenly distributed on an existing object — a curve or surface. You can also create a group of points by coordinates stored in a file.

After a point group is created, an icon of this group is displayed in the Design Tree.

A group of points consists of elements. Elements of the group of points are displayed in the Design Tree as separate objects subordinate to the group.

To preview the list of elements, expand the Design Tree branch corresponding to the group of points.

To the right of the group element icon, the number of this element is displayed in round brackets.

If the group is built along the surface, the group element number consists of two numbers. The first is the element number by parameter V, the second is the element number by parameter U. Elements numbering starts with one.

You can explode Explode into separate instances.

If the Strew option was enabled when creating a group, upon completion of the command a set of separate points will be displayed in the Design Tree.
