Transferring properties from the family table to instances |
Scroll |
Values of the following system properties cannot be transferred from a family table to instances:
• Mass,
• BOM section,
• Quantity,
• Accuracy class,
• Object type,
• Position,
• Full file name,
• Created by ,
• Latest Modification.
Values of the remaining properties can be transferred to instances, but it is necessary to consider the following features:
•The value of the property Cut on sections, Unknown Roughness Symbol and the user property with data type String, for which the filling from the list is enabled, is transferred from the table to the instance if it completely matches any value from the list. For example, the property Sign of unspecified surface finish may obtain the value “Without material removal” from the table, but a value that is arbitrary text cannot. An arbitrary value for such a property is equivalent to the absence of a value in the table.
•The value of a user-defined property with the data type Logical is transferred from the table to the instance if it equals 0 or 1. Any other value is equivalent to its absence in the table.
•The value of a user property of type Integer or Real, for which filling from the list is enabled, is transferred from the table to the instance if it fully matches any value from the list. Entry of any other value is equivalent to its absence in the table.
Moreover, when transferring properties of these types, the maximum and minimum values set for them are taken into account. Value beyond the range is equivalent to the absence of value in the table.
In the event that a fractional value is specified in the table for a property of type Integer, only the integer part of the number is passed to the instance.
