KOMPAS-3D allows you to create a stiffening rib of various section shapes (V-shaped, U-shaped) on the bend of a sheet part.
The strengthening edge is a thin-walled element created as a result of bend deformation. You can create the edge on the cylindrical or conical bend

A strengthening edge on the bend of a sheet solid:

Unlike the rib, the strengthening edge does not prevent from unfolding the bend on which it was created.
The strengthening edge is not displayed on an unbent bend or on the flat pattern. After the bend is folded, the strengthening edge is restored.
