Managing the shape and position of the lateral edges of the rounding surface |
Scroll |
The side edges of the fillet surface can be given a specific shape and position depending on the position of the boundary edges of the indicated surfaces. The elements of the group Side Ribs in the section Rounding on the Parameters Panel are used for this purpose. Methods of forming side edges of the rounding surface and corresponding schemes are provided in the table.

No trimming — the lateral edges of the surface fillet are not trimmed. |
Straight cut near edge — the lateral edges are formed by trimming the fillet surface with section planes along the boundary edges of the specified surfaces. For each surface from the pair of boundary edges, the edge that is closest to the boundary edge of the other surface is selected. |
Straight edge trim — the lateral edges are formed by trimming the surface of the rounded with section planes along the boundary edges of the specified surfaces. For each surface from a pair of boundary edges, the edge that is the farthest relative to the boundary edge of the other surface is selected. |
Linear edge connection — the lateral edges are curves lying on the fillet surface and connecting the intersection points of the boundary edges of the specified surfaces with the borders of the fillet surface. |
Spline edge connection — the lateral edges are spline curves lying on the rounding surface and tangentially touch the boundary edges of the specified surfaces at their intersection points with the rounding surface boundaries. |
