Blending of rounding surface and section shape |
Scroll |
The rounding surface is mated along its borders with the specified surfaces. The shape of the rounding surface section depends on the mating conditions. For selecting a fillet, use the elements of the Mating group in the Rounding section on the Parameter Panel:
Not specified — the cross-section of the rounding surface is a segment, and the surface itself essentially represents a ruled surface constructed between boundary curves.
By tangent — the rounding surface is tangent to the specified surfaces along its borders. At this, in the Shape group, the selection of the section shape is available. To set the desired form, click the appropriate button:
Circular Arc/Elliptical Arc — the section of the rounded surface will be an arc of a circle (for the methods of defining the boundary). By the radius of the inscribed circle and By chord) or ellipse arc (for boundary definition method By displacements from the sides).
Conical curve — the section of the rounding surface is conical curve. To set the section parameters, you need to select the law of coefficient k variation from the Function Type group and enter its value in the Coefficient field. The procedure for setting parameters is similar to the one described in the method. By coefficient when plotting a conic section surface.
Smooth — the rounding surface has smooth, that is, continuous curvature mating with the specified surfaces along its boundaries. The section of the fillet surface is a spline.
