1.Detachable joints
• A new type of detachable connection has been added – a stud connection, created by the Stud connection. The command allows inserting studs with a set of fastening elements (washers and nuts) into the assembly (*.a3d). Fastening elements can be added from both sides of the stud or only from one side if the stud has a threaded end. Positioning the stud is performed in the same way as for elements of other detachable connections — using placement objects.
•The list of placement objects processed by application commands has been expanded. Auxiliary planes, axes, conical and curved surfaces are available for use. Added the ability to specify displacement along three axes and rotation of the disjoint connection both through the dialog and using the manipulator.
•Auto-thread selection for the specified hole is added to all connections.
•Dialogs for selecting instances of fasteners have been improved: the properties of elements are now represented in a table format, and the set of displayed properties, as well as the corresponding filters, has been expanded.
•The command Insert from Connection Template has appeared. The template source may be recently inserted into the document detachable connections (they are grouped by types of connections) or selected detachable connections. Adding to favorite connections is done from recent ones.
2.Unsplittable connections
•In the Weld Table command, the ability to insert fragments of welded joint elements into the weld table has been added.
•In the commands Weld Seam Designation and Structural Elements of Weld Seams, a seam type filter has been added, allowing to filter seam types as others (etc). This is necessary for standards where the weld type does not correspond to the first letter of the weld designation (B, A, T, L). For example, the weld designations can be the following: «C», «K» and so on.
•Known bugs have been corrected.
3.eCAD - KOMPAS Converter
•The ability to select three-dimensional component models from POLINOM:MDM has been added. In the process of accessing POLINOM:MDM, it is necessary to enter the name of the repository once, which will then be remembered.
•Certain bugs found during the operation have been fixed.
•The Help system has been improved.
4.Equipment: Cables and Harnesses
•In the windowPositional designations. Contacts and circuits now have the ability to filter entered records by Names or Designations of components.
•In the same window, the ability to quickly search the list of components by their RPN (Reference Part Number) has appeared.
•When importing an exchange XML file from KOMPAS-Electric and CADMAX design systems, the possibility to select individual connections from their general list for import has appeared. This function allows you, for example, to import into the open assembly only those connections that are present in this assembly, rather than the full list of connections of the entire electrical project.
•When importing an exchange XML file from KOMPAS-Electric and MAX CAD systems, it has become possible to interactively create harness subassemblies in the main product with the assignment of their Designations and Names. This is possible in those cases when the exchanged XML file contains information about these harnesses (their BOM, Designation, and Name), as well as about the distribution of connections by harnesses.
•In the window Connections table a new filter by Wire/Cable Name has become available.
•In this window, the capability for quick search of connection addresses by alphanumeric designations of components and harnesses/cables has appeared.
•It became possible to model conditional conductors in the absence of wire/cable markings in connections. In some cases, the circuit designer cannot immediately — at the stage of creating the electrical schematic — specify the exact types of wires and cables for the connections. Previously, the application did not create a harness/cable model in the absence of designated conductors, but tracers need such a model, even if it is conditional, to determine the routing paths of future harnesses. Now the application can create a cosmetic model, for which in the settings you can specify the nominal diameters of the wires and their color. The nominal diameter of the wire and its color will be the same for all conductors that do not have a real wire specified. In the future — after defining the actual conductors — you will need to rerun the command Create a harness/cable model.
•Certain bugs found during the operation have been fixed.
•The Help system has been improved.
5.Shafts and mechanical transmissions
•The capability to construct a 3D model of a part through automatic generation from a 2D model, which is stored in the file of this 3D model, has been implemented. The procedure for constructing a 2D model is the same as when working with an application in graphical documents of the KOMPAS-3D system (drawing or fragment).
•Calculations and plotting of sprockets for chain drives with toothed chains have been implemented.
•When designing worm cutters for cylindrical gears and involute splines based on user requests, the construction of the tooth profile in the axial section with an additional parameter table has been added.
•When creating locations for the installation of a round spline nut and a multi-prong lock washer, the option to select the groove variation for the thread exit according to GOST 10549-80 has been added.
•Improvement of the keyway creation on the external conical step has been implemented.
•For cylindrical gears with a clock profile, upon user requests, the calculation of the tooth profile of a worm milling cutter intended for gear manufacturing has been implemented, and the option to construct an additional view with the tooth profile of this cutter has also been added.
•For cylindrical gears with an involute profile, the Parameter Table has been updated to include the output of profile coefficients in the case of non-standard values.
•For involute splines, when selecting measuring roller (ball) diameter, the possibility of adding non-standard roller sizes is now implemented.
•Modifications have been made concerning the plotting and calculation of tolerances for involute splines according to ANSI B92.1-1996 standard.
•Calculation of the bevel gear with circular teeth has been refined. When calculating based on the external module, the selection-calculation of initial data is implemented for the specified tool spread.
6.Equipment: Steel structures
The interface for selecting a material profile from the Materials and Assortments Application has been redesigned. All material assortments that can be used to construct metal structures are grouped in one window. Selecting the material type and size has become more convenient. The list of materials the user works with is configured.
7.Equipment: Cable ducts
It became possible to update settings for already created cable channels. Settings can be updated for all cable channels included in the assembly simultaneously, as well as for selected ones.
8.Equipment: Pipelines
•It became possible to update settings for already created pipelines. You can update the settings for all pipelines in the assembly at once or for the selected ones.
•The interface for selecting pipe assortment instances and pipeline elements from the 'Materials and Assortments' application, 'Standard Products for KOMPAS', has been redesigned. Selecting the pipe size has become more convenient. Types of pipeline elements that the user works with are grouped in one window. The list of elements available for application may be configured.
9.Equipment: Ventilation systems
It is now possible to update the settings for already created ventilation systems. You can update the settings of all ventilation systems included in the assembly simultaneously, as well as the selected ones.
10.Equipment: Flat patterns
New elements have been added:
• conical fitting — type 6,
