The current layer is the layer of the active operations. All newly created model objects go to the current layer. The name of the current layer is displayed in the field at the top of the Layer tree. The icon with the number of the current layer is marked with a dot.

To make a layer current, use one of the methods.

•Expand the list in the box at the top of the Layers panel and select the required layer.

•Click in the field with the number of the layer you want to be the current layer.

You can make any layer current, including the hidden one. At that, the layer automatically becomes visible. As soon as the hidden layer ceases to be current, the Visibility property will be restored.

The current layer cannot be hidden.
