Configuring title block table |
Scroll |
If during Creating tables of title blocks In KOMPAS-3D documents, all the methods of working with tables are available (see section Working procedures). These techniques allow you to perform general setting of title block table. In addition, each cell of this table must have a special configuration — Advanced Format Settings. This feature is not available when creating regular tables.
Table parameters setting
You can pre-set the new title block table using the Create New Table New Table dialog. This dialog appears on the screen after pressing the Add... Creating a title block dialog button.
If the title block table was prepared in advance (see section Preliminary table preparation), click the From File... button and open the required table or fragment file.
If there is no completed table, set its parameters in the dialog (number of rows and columns of the table, height and width of its cells, position of the header) and click Create.
After that, a table with the specified parameters appears in the document. The system switches to the working with text mode. The corresponding control elements appear on the Parameter Panel.
Cells in the title block table must either contain text or have certain format and extended format settings, i.e. settings that determine the properties of the text that will be entered into the cell when filling out the title block.
Any cell containing text is automatically prohibited from changing this text. In other words, the presence in the cell of at least one character means that when filling out the title block in the document, editing the text in this cell will be impossible. User can neither delete the existing text, nor add text, nor change its parameters (font, color, size, etc.).
If the cell is empty, then when filling out the title block in the document, the appearance of the text that will be entered into this cell is determined by the parameters set for the cell when creating the table of the title block. To set up parameters, use the Parameter Panel controls and the Cell Format, which is called by the corresponding command of the cell context menu or the Table menu.

The text style can contain advanced style settings — information about what the line spacing should be, the height and width of characters in the text depending on the number of lines in this text. For more details on advanced text style... |
Additional text customization tips
•If you need to apply a custom style to the text in the cell, it is recommended to save it directly in the created title block — this will eliminate the loss of style when transferring the detailing library to another workplace. Creating a title block text style is similar to creating a document text style (see section Creating styles: general procedure).
•After the sizes of cells and indents of the text in them are set, it is recommended to lock the sizes of the table. To do this, call the Table – Table Lock command and enable all options of the dialog that appears.
•If the created table of the main inscription will be located on a sheet so that some of its borders coincide with the internal frame of the document (or with the borders of other tables), it is recommended to set the border line style for these borders Invisible.
This is because some vector output devices perceive an even number of lines overlaid on each other as the absence of a line. As a result, the printed document may lack some of the detailing lines.
