Objects on a drawing or in a fragment can be marked with a text label. Such a need arises, for example, on indication of the surface finish symbols designation after coating: to the surface finish sign, the asterisk "*" symbol is added, and in the technical specifications of the drawing the record * Dimensions and surface finish after coating is done.
A text label can be added to the following objects:
•to the geometric tolerance designation of a form,
•to a surface finish sign,
•to a designation of datum surface.
An object with a text label is perceived by the system (it is selected, moved, copied, and deleted) as a single whole. At the same time, the text label can be edited separately from its object.
Label parameters (including the default text) can be configured; see section Text label.
Creation, editing, and deleting a text label
To add a text label, select an object and from its context menu fetch the Add text label command. A tag with the default text will be added to the object.
You can change the text and/or the provision of text label in the process of its editing. Besides, to change the position of label, you can use defining points. These actions are performed for a text label in the same way as for the caption in a graphic document; see section Editing a caption.

If a text label or a part thereof is closed by an object to which it was added, drag the label to the required position using the characteristic point. |
To delete a text label, fetch from the context menu of selected object the Delete text label command.
