Model components transformation

Scroll

Model structure editing means modification of the components hierarchy. In most cases model structure editing changes the set of constituent files.

The following options for the model structure editing are available:

part – subassembly and subassembly – part transformations (see section Part – subassembly and subassembly – part transformations),

merging in sub-assembly and exploding sub-assembly (see sections Merging components into a subassembly and Exploding a subassembly),

copying and moving components (see section Transferring components),

separating model objects into separate parts (see section Converting objects to a part and a local part).

As a result of the structure editing operation certain matings applied to the components involved in the operation can be deleted from the model. Thus, we recommend applying matings after the model structure is complete.
