Selecting and setting up a printing device |

KOMPAS-3D enables the output of documents to any external device that is supported by the operating system.
The term "connected" or "available" refers to a plotter or printer listed among the available devices.

To select a plotter/printer for printing from the preview mode, use the Plotter/Printer Settings... 
command.
In the dialog that appears, select the required printing device and configure the print settings according to the section Selecting and setting up a printing device.
After completing the print setup, click OK in the dialog box. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.

You can select and setup the printer/plotter for printing from the preview mode in advance, using the main window of KOMPAS-3D. To do that, run the File — Print Preview — Plotter/Printer Settings... command. |
Please note that the selected device and its settings will be used by default for printing all types of documents from the preview mode in the current session of KOMPAS-3D.
If you want to save the selected device and its settings for further use in future sessions of KOMPAS-3D, use one of the following methods:
•configure the plotter/printer settings using the Control Panel in Windows (please note that this device and its settings will also be used for printing in other Windows applications),
•use the printing devices configurations.
