Selecting the current version/variant |
Scroll |
Right after creation of a version (variant) of the model it immediately becomes current automatically. In Versions and variants tree a check mark
appears next to it. Objects of the current version/variant are displayed in the graphic area of the model and in the Design tree.
To manually make the required version or variant current, use one of the following methods:
•in the Version and Variant tree and in the dialog box Versions control (only for versions) — click on the field to the left of the desired design/variant (this field is used to display the icon of the current object);
•In the Design Tree of the model or the Design Tree of the current version/variant (displayed in the lower part of the Tree Panel in Tree: versions mode):
•For a version — from the context menu of the root element of the Tree, invoke the Current Version command and specify the required version in the displayed list.
•For a variant — from the context menu of the root element of the Tree, invoke the Current option command and specify the desired variant in the displayed list (the list contains only variants of the version which is currently active; the By default entry corresponds to this version; if you need to select a variant of another version, first make that version current).
•On the Parameter panel — select the root element of the Tree to display its properties on the Parameter Panel, then:
•For a version — from the dropdown list Version, select the required version of the model;
•For the variant — from the dropdown list Variant, select the desired model variant (the list is available if the current model version has variants, it contains only the variants of this version; if you need to select a variant of another execution, first make that version current).
You can also specify the current version/variant while opening a model with versions/variants. To select an version, expand the Version drop-down list in the file open dialog box and specify the desired one. If variants have been created for the selected version in the model, the Variant drop-down list will also be displayed in the dialog. Select the desired variant from this list (if you do not need to select a variant, leave the Default line selected).
When working with an assembly model, you can change the version/variant not only of the model itself, but also of its components. To do this, start the process of editing the properties of the desired component and open the Source section of the Parameter panel. The rest of the steps are the same as in the file opening dialog. You can also change the version/variant when replacing the source of a component.
