Deletion of variables |

Deletion of variables is performed with various methods.
To delete a user variable, select the row of that variable in the table in the Variables panel and invoke the delete command in one of the ways:
•click the icon
in the variable string,
•call the Delete command from the context menu,
•press the <Delete> key.
The variable is deleted if it is not included in expressions specified for calculating other variables. Otherwise, the variable is not deleted, and a warning dialog appears on the screen, containing a list of objects of the current document in which this variable is used.
To remove a size variable from a graphic document or thumbnail, delete the variable name in the setting size value dialog box.
If the variable being deleted is included into expressions set for the calculation of other variables, then it is included into a set of user variables. The current value of a variable or the expression set for calculation of its value is retained. In the latter case, the "Info" status is automatically assigned to the variable.
Variables of operation parameters of a model, of dimensions – detailing elements labeled manually, and the "dimension" objects are deleted automatically on deletion of the respective parameters / dimensions / objects. Arbitrary deletion of these variables is impossible.

If necessary, you can delete not the variable itself, but the expression set for calculation of its value. For that, select a cell of the Expression column in the row of variable and click Delete button or press the <Delete> key. The expression will be deleted. The variable will retain its current value. |
