Using the Collect Contour command functionality when creating other objects |
Scroll |
When executing some commands, you may need to assemble a contour, i.e. form a figure by going around intersecting geometric objects. The assembly of the contour is performed in a special subprocess, launched by pressing the Create contour
button on the Parameters Panel. The assembled contour is displayed on the screen only until the command is completed.
Procedure
1.Select the method for traversing non-branching nodes—nodes where there's only one direction of movement. To do this, toggle the Traversing Non-branching Nodes Method switch to the desired position:
•Automatically — when specifying an object, the object itself and adjacent objects/chains of objects connected by non-branching nodes are selected.
•Manually — each section of the contour is indicated in the graphic area.
2.Use your mouse to select the objects that are included in the contour.
3.After assembling the outline, click the Create Object
button. The system will return to the process of performing the original operation.
4.If you want to cancel the contour assembly, click the Finish
button.
