Standard part-blank |

A standard part in the model (i.e. object, inserted from Standard parts reference) can be transformed into a blank. This option is also available when editing model «in place». To transform a standard part into a blank. Transform to a blank command is used.
After transferring, a standard part can be reflected as a workpiece in the drawing of the model containing it and in the assembly BOM that includes this model as a component.. To reflect, the properties of the blank must include the inclusion in the BOM. More about reflecting a blank in drawing a BOM...
As a result of transferring a standard part to a blank, its icon in the Model tree and the Object type property are changed:
the original icon is replaced by the icon
, and the original value of the «Standard part» property is replaced by the «Blank-standard part» value. The remaining properties of the standard part (including those specified/changed by the user) are saved. All operations performed on the standard part or using it as a base object are also saved.
A standard part-blank can be edited using the Reference tools, just as before the transferring. For example, by starting the editing process by double-clicking on the blank, you can change any parameters of the standard part or select another product instead. As a result, in addition to changing the appearance of the model, the information about the blank will also change — in the title block of the current model drawing and in the assembly BOM containing this model.

It is not possible to undo the transferring, or to reverse the transferring, i.e. to transfer a standard part-blank into a regular standard part. To return the model to the state before the transferring, close it without saving or delete the standard part-blank product and then reinsert the corresponding object from the Standard parts Reference. |
