General information about copying components |

When working with a 3D model, you may need to copy its components into the same document or into other documents.
There are the following methods for copying components:
You can copy components of any level (except the root element of the Design tree), including local parts, blank parts and standard parts. Together with the components, their properties, external variables, versions and variants. If a component in an assembly is subject to deformation, the Deformation object corresponding to the component is not copied.
Unable to copy:
•both the subassembly and the component included in it - in this case, only the subassembly will be copied,
•component, for which editing is forbidden,
•a component which source is lost, if the component does not use a mockup or the mockup is lost.
