It allows you to enter or edit attributes for the selected object (multiple selected objects) or document.

Immediately after calling the dialog, a window is displayed on the screen. In expanded view, the dialog has two windows. Only one viewing window can be active at a time. To activate a window, click it.

In the left window of the dialog, the names of attribute types that are already assigned to this object are displayed in the form of a structured list. The right window is used to select an existing attribute or create a new one.

Above each window is a search field where you can search for an attribute or attribute type by name. To find the required attribute or type, enter the desired characters in the search field, then select the desired line from the list of search results that appears.

Edit

Click the button to change the value of the attribute selected in the list.

Delete

To remove one or more attributes, select them from the list and click this button.

Cut

Click the button to copy attributes to the clipboard and remove them from the list at the same time.

Copy

You can exchange attributes between different objects or documents. Select the attributes you want from the list, and then click. Selected attributes will be copied to a special clipboard (Clipboard).

Paste

Click the button to assign the attributes in the clipboard to the object.

 

New type of attribute

Click this link with the mouse to expand the dialog. A right-hand window will appear on the screen, where you can create or select an attribute type.
To minimize the dialog, click the link with your mouse again.

Show Library

To view a list of types from another library, click this button. Select the required library *.lat. Select the required library.

After selecting the attribute type library in the structured list, the names of attribute types stored in the connected library (library types) are displayed.

Show Document

To view the list of document attribute types, click the required button The structured list displays the type names that are stored in the active document (local types).


The following buttons are available if the attribute types displayed in the window are editable. Otherwise (for example, if the open attribute type library is set to Read only), only the View and Copy buttons are available.


Create section
Merge in section

Allows you to create a new section in the list of attribute types. After you click the button, a dialog appears on the screen in which you need to enter the name of the new section.

To merge several sections into a common section, select them in the list and press the Merge into a section button (the button will be displayed instead of the Create section).

When working with local attribute types, creating sections and combining objects into sections is not possible.

Create an attribute type

Use the button to switch to dialog creating a new attribute type.

Edit

Click the button to change the attribute type selected in the list.

View

This button replaces the Edit button when selecting an attribute type that is not editable. Allows you to view a description of the attribute type selected in the list.

Destroy the section

Click the button to destroy the selected section in the list (it must be non-empty). The section icon will be removed, and the section contents will appear in its place in the list.

Delete

Click the button to delete one or more attribute types selected in the list.

Copy

Use the button to copy elements from the right window to the left one. The button is unavailable if an item that cannot be copied (for example, a folder) is selected for copying.

Copying means assigning an attribute of the type selected in the list to an object/document. Therefore, after clicking the button, a dialog box for entering the attribute value appears on the screen.

To finish your work in the dialog, click Close button.
