If most of the associative views you create display the same set of objects and use the same rendering settings, customizing the objects, decorations, and lines for each view is inefficient. In this case, you can configure the current document so that its associative views display the desired objects and lines by default. For this, use the View dialog, called by the command Settings — Parameters... — Current document — Document parameters — View.
The dialog contains several tabs. The settings for each tab are described below.
Once you've finished configuring the new view settings, click OK. To exit the dialog without saving your changes, click Cancel.
|
The settings you specify when setting up the current drawing will only apply to newly created views; the settings of views created before changing the setting will remain the same. |
Tab parameters
Allows you to configure default parameters for creating drawing views.

Scale |
Enter the default scale in the fields to be used when creating Custom and Standard associative views, as well as all non-associative views. The scale can be specified as a ratio of any number. You can also select a view scale from the standard range. To do this, click the button located between the scale input fields. Select the required scale from the menu that appears. |
|
Enable this option to insert a link to the scale of the first view created by the user into the Drawing Title Block Scale cell. The link is generated only if at the time of view creation there are no other views in the drawing except the system one. When this option is disabled, the Title Block Scale cell for the new drawing displays «1:1» if the Create new view option is disabled, or the scale of the created view if it is enabled. In either case, the scale value is plain text. When editing a title block, you can create a reference manually, edit the existing reference by specifying a different view as the source of the scale value, or replace the reference with plain text. |
||
Include in the caption the scale different from the one specified in the title block |
Enable this option to automatically add the scale of the view being created to the title block if it differs from the scale specified in the drawing title block. If the option is disabled, the scale is not included in the view caption. If necessary, when creating/editing a view, the user can manually enable or disable adding a scale to the caption. Please note that this setting only works when creating a view. Changing the scale of an existing view or specifying a different scale in the drawing's title block does not affect the composition of the view's title block. |
|
To transmit hidden components |
A group of options that allows you to specify whether hidden and library components should be displayed by default in the following associative views: •Standard views from model, •Model view, •Projection view, •View arrow, •Cut/section. The other associative views display the same components by default as their reference views. |
|
|
The set of components displayed in a Projection view, View arrow, or Cut/section view may differ from the set of components in the reference view if the component transfer setting has been changed since the reference view was created, or if the display of any components has been turned on or off in the model. |
|
|
This setting only affects newly created associative views. You can control the display of components in an existing view using the Hide component and Show component commands from the context menu of these components in the Drawing Tree. More... |
|
Projection method |
The options group allows you to select the projection method: Projection from the first angle or Third angle projection. The projection method determines the layout of the views created by the command Standard views on the drawing. The choice of projection method also affects the display of the model in the form obtained using the Projection view command. |
Allows you to customize the rendering of associative drawing views.
Later, when setting up the parameters of a specific associative view, the line drawing parameters can be changed in the Lines section of the Parameters Panel.

Visible lines, Invisible lines, Transition lines, Bend lines |
The buttons allow you to set the default drawing style for the corresponding lines in an associative form. They call line style selection dialog. A sample line is displayed in the box to the right of the button. |
|
Show |
This option controls the display of lines of a certain type in the associative view. If this option is enabled, lines of the corresponding type will be displayed by default when creating a new associative view. If this option is disabled, lines of the corresponding type will not be displayed. This setting is available for invisible contour lines, transition lines, and fold lines. |
|
Rough projection |
This option controls the draft projection of associative drawing views: if the option is enabled, then draft projection is performed by default when creating a view, and if the option is disabled, then it is not. The option is available if the invisible contour lines are not shown in the view — option Show is disabled for these lines. Rough projection is performed faster than usual, but with reduced accuracy, as a result of which small elements compared to the dimensions of the model may be missing from the projection. For more information on rough projection, see table Associative views drawing controls. |
Objects tab
The settings you specify on this tab determine the default settings for projection and display of objects for associative views that are generated by commands Standard views from model and Model view.
The default settings for the associative views Projection, Arrow, and Cut/Section are the same as those of their reference views (i.e., they do not depend on this tab).
When creating or editing any of the listed types, the settings can be changed. This is done using the group Project in section Objects on the Parameters Panel.
Element |
Setting description |
|
Project |
List of objects whose images can be transferred from the model to the drawing. Enable options for the names of objects that should be projected into the drawing by default when creating Standard views and Model view. |
|
All objects |
This option allows you to enable or disable all options in the object list at once. If not all options are enabled, the All objects option is displayed with a gray background. Clicking an option in this state will disable it, and clicking again will enable it. |
|
Show hidden objects |
This option controls the display of objects in associative views whose display in the model is disabled. |
The parameters specified on this tab determine the default settings for the transfer and creation of design elements for associative views that are generated by commands Standard views from model and Model view.
The default settings for the associative views Projection, Arrow, and Cut/Section are the same as those of their reference views (i.e., they do not depend on this tab).
Please note: the set of transferred design elements can be changed both when creating a view and when editing it, but the set of generated ones can only be changed when creating a view. Groups Send and Create in the section Objects on the Parameters panel are used for this purpose.

Setting description |
|
Send |
A list of design elements that can be transferred from the model to the drawing. Enable options for the designation names that should be transferred to the drawing by default when creating Standard views and Model view. |
|
|
Dimensions, labels, and notations transferred to a drawing can be automatically hidden if they are hidden in the model or if the drawing already contains at least one visible instance of this object. To control the display of individual notations, use the command View — Show hidden symbols. |
|
Create |
List of design elements that can be formed in associative drawing views. Enable options for the designation names that should be transferred to the drawing by default when creating Standard views and Model view. |
|
All symbols |
Options allow you to enable or disable all options for the corresponding symbol list at once. If not all options in the list are enabled, All symbols option is displayed with a gray background. Clicking an option in this state will disable it, and clicking again will enable it. |
Allows you to configure the default parameters of the inscriptions above the associative views of the original and mirror versions (see section Notes on configuring parameters of the view caption in the mirrored version).
Element |
Setting description |
|
Create captions when inserting an associative mirrored version |
This option controls the automatic creation of associative view labels when inserting an associative view of a mirrored version of a model. When this option is enabled, labels are created; when disabled, they are not. Please note that these labels can only be added to the drawing automatically. They cannot be created manually. |
|
Caption template |
This field contains a template used to generate the associative label for the mirror image of the model. The template looks like this: #<PartNo> – mirrored display Rest – see #<PartNo|Doc>, where #<PartNo> — link to the symbol of the mirrored version of the model, #<PartNo|Doc> — reference to the symbol of the original version of the model. This template is editable. |
