Export to DXF, DWG, IGES and spreadsheet formats |

You can export a BOM to DXF, DWG and IGES formats, as well as to formats used for storing spreadsheets — ODF, XLS and XLSX. To do this, perform the following actions.
1.Open the BOM that you want to export.
2.Call the File — Save As... command and in the File type field of the appeared dialog box select the required file extension.
3.Click theSave button.
When selecting the DXF or DWG line in the File type list, the Parameters button appears in the dialog box. It calls the dialog box for setting up the document recording in the selected format. In it you can specify the format version number, set up export of text and special characters. For a multi-page BOM, you can set the parameters for placing pages on the field of the resulting document (the number of sheets in a row and the spacing between sheets). Having completed the setting, close the dialog box with the OK button and then click the Save button of the save file dialog box.
For other formats the export setting is impossible.
When exporting, the system will create a file of the required format and place in it:
•for DXF, DWG and IGES formats — an image of the BOM sheets, which (as well as when exporting to a fragment) will consist of segments and texts.
•for ODF, XLS or XLSX formats - specification data in the form of a table.
Although the files obtained as a result of export lose the properties of KOMPAS-3D BOM (order of document filling, link with KOMPAS-documents, possibility of auto-sorting and positioning, etc.) and cannot be further edited by means of the BOM Design module, they are indispensable when it is necessary to view and print BOMs on those workplaces where there is no possibility to work with KOMPAS-3D BOM files.
