At any stage of construction of a model you can delete its part. The cutting border may be an arbitrarily shaped surface or a surface formed by extrusion of a sketch. Portions of objects intersected by the clipping surface are removed from the model. Objects located entirely on the same side of the clipping surface are retained or removed, depending on the cutting object and the operation's scope setting.
The clipping boundary can be a free form surface, a surface created by extruding a sketch, a solid surface, a face, or several adjoining faces. Examples of clipping a portion of a model are shown in the figure.
