Review of settings options

The KOMPAS-3D system offers various options for interface customization.

To configure most of the system window display settings, use the menu of Interface Setup , located in the Main Menu bar of the system. The following settings are available:

Setting the interface display colors. With this setting, you can select the highlight color, theme, option to display icons — in monochrome or color (see section Colors in the interface).

Resizing icons and text captions in the interface. (see section Icons and text size).

Setting up the position of new document tabs in the tab bar (see section New tab position).

Selecting an option to display a group of commands on the toolbar (see section Remembering the most recent command called from the group).

Setting of Tool area of a window and toolbars located on it (see section Setting Customizing tool bar). This configuration allows you to change the settings for the Toolbar and panels, as well as the set of commands and their arrangement on the panels. If necessary, you can edit the list of toolbar sets and create new toolbars and panel sets.

Setting up keyboard shortcuts to call commands (see section Configuring keyboard shortcuts).

On control panels and context panels the button is displayed. Clicking this button opens a menu that allows you to customize the contents of panels. The menu commands apply to the current panel. Control panels not only allow you to customize their contents, but also change their position in the window. For more information, see Configuring toolbars and Configuring context panels.

The settings of the Toolbar, control panels, context panels and keyboard shortcuts can be saved (see section Saving, loading and resetting setting).

If necessary, you can temporarily hide all the control panels, toolbars, and the Toolbar Panel of the window using Display of panels . Details...
