KOMPAS-3D v24

The text processor KOMPAS-3D provides the capability for automated search and replacement of text fragments. You can search and replace specific symbols, words, or an arbitrary part of a string (substring). Automated text replacement allows for quick replacements of a word or expression (for example, a part designation) that occurs multiple times in the document.

To find text, call the menu command Edit — Find and replace. The dialog Find and replace will appear on the screen.

Specify your search or replace parameters and click one of the following buttons:

•Find next — to search for a given text fragment,

•Replace — to replace the found text fragment and search for the next one,

•Replace all — to replace all found text fragments.

Text fragments entered for find and replace are stored in memory for the rest of your session. Therefore, if needed, you can select them from the list instead of retyping them. You can also select text before invoking the command—it will automatically appear in the search field.

You can continue searching or replacing with the same parameters after closing the dialog. To do this, use the menu command Edit — Continue or press button <F3>.
