Configuring the disconnection of add-on libraries from the system KOMPAS-3D and to display the controls of a library macro element in the document is done in the Add-on libraries section of the setting dialog box.
To access the section, call the command Settings — Parameters...
and in the dialog box that appears, select System — Add-on libraries.

Automatically disable libraries connected in «blind» mode |
In some cases, the add-on connects to KOMPAS-3D automatically (in the so-called "blind" mode). The names of add-ons connected in this way are not displayed in the Add-ons menu. Examples of add-ons connected in blind mode are: •execution of file export/import commands, •editing the parameters of document objects created by the add-on, •calling add-on commands by pressing the corresponding button on the user's Parameter panel. In order to save time in reconnecting an add-ons when it is accessed again, such add-ons are not automatically disconnected from the system by default when they are terminated. When using KOMPAS-3DIn single-user mode, this does not matter. However, when networking with KOMPAS-3D a «floating» license for the add-on will be held on the network protection key. In other words, an unused but not disconnected add-on will occupy one of the network licenses, thus preventing the same add-on from running on another computer. Enabling the option automatically unloads add-ons connected to the system «blindly» when they are finished. Another way is to manually disconnect the add-on in the Configurator. Be sure to enable this option when networking with the system KOMPAS-3D the number of licenses per add-on (e.g., DXF export library) is less than the number of licenses per system KOMPAS-3D (e.g., 5 licenses for KOMPAS-3D and 2 licenses for the DXF export library). |

Automatic shutdown is not available for the following add-ons: •Standard parts, •Mechanic: Springs, •Equipment: Flat patterns. |

Displaying of defining points, properties and context bar |
The drop-down list allows you to select the order in which library-defined controls for the macro item are displayed in a document containing a library macro item. These include the macro item's special properties and feature points, as well as the context bar buttons that appear when the macro item is selected. The following options are available: •Disabled — macro element controls will not be displayed in the document. •Enabled only with connected library — macro element controls will be displayed in the document only if the library from which the macro element is inserted is connected to the system. •Included — macro element controls will be displayed in the document regardless of whether the library is connected or not. With the mapping enabled, you can use the defining points and special properties of a macro element to edit objects, as well as select objects based on these properties — in the Select objects by properties dialog box (see Select by properties), the Library macro elements section appears. |
After completing the settings, click Apply and close. To exit the dialog box without changing the settings, click Cancel.

The display of the context panel has the following features. If Disabled is selected in the Display of defining points, properties and context bar list, the KOMPAS-3D system panel (i.e., the typical context panel for macro elements) appears when a library macro element is selected. In the other two cases, the composition of the panel is determined by the library. The following options are possible: •library commands are added to the system panel KOMPAS-3D, •the library panel is displayed instead of the system panel KOMPAS-3D, •system panel KOMPAS-3D appears unchanged, •system panel KOMPAS-3D not displayed. |
