Configuring the system text editor operation parameters KOMPAS-3D is performed in the Editing in text editor section of setting dialog box.
To access the section, call the command Settings — Parameters... 
and in the dialog box that appears, select System — Text editor — Editing in a text editor.

Scale factor |
The field allows you to set the coefficient of increasing or decreasing the image in the window. To set the coefficient, enter a number from 1 to 100. The image scale is changed by pressing the key combinations <Ctrl>+<+> and <Ctrl>+<-> respectively or by rotating the mouse wheel with the <Ctrl> key pressed. |

Cancellation of operations |

Number of steps backwards |
The field allows you to set the number of operations that can be canceled and repeated during operation. Increasing this value increases the amount of system resources (memory) to support the list of executed operations, so the number of steps should be reasonable. It is recommended to set the number in the range from 10 to 30. |

Group similar operations |
The option allows you to cancel the same type of actions as a single action. Examples of single-type actions are entering the same character, moving the cursor in the same direction. When this option is enabled, all actions of the same type are canceled or repeated at once. When the option is disabled, actions are canceled or repeated one by one. |

Dimensional text frame |

Style |
The drop-down list allows you to select a line style to represent the overall text frame on the screen. The following styles are available: •A solid line, •Dashed line, •Dots. |

Color |
A field that displays the current color of the text outline drawing. To change the drawing color, click in the field. |

Line thickness, px |
The field is used to enter the thickness value (in pixels) of the overall text frame on the screen. The field is displayed when the Solid line style is selected. |

Preview |
The field is used to view the appearance of the dimensional frame around the text, which allows you to evaluate the changes made. |

Having completed the settings, click the dialog box Apply and close. To exit the dialog without changing the settings, click the Cancel button.
