Subprocess of selecting objects |
Scroll |
When performing some commands, the object selection is done in a special subprocess.
Procedure
1.In the graphics area, select the desired objects by clicking them with the mouse. You can select multiple objects at once using a bounding box or a crossing marquee. More about object selection... Selected objects are highlighted and their names appear in the Objects field.
2.If you need to remove an object from the selected list, use one of the following methods:
•re-select this object in the graphic area of the document,
•Click the "x" icon in the object's row in the list (the icon appears when you hover the mouse pointer over the object's row),
•select the object line in the list and click the Delete button
(appears after selecting an object) or the <Delete> key; this method can be used to delete multiple objects.
3.Once the list of objects is generated, click the Create object
button in the Parameters Panel header area. The system will begin executing the primary command—the command for which the objects were selected.
The Objects field remains in the Parameters Panel, and its name becomes a link. Clicking this link restarts the object selection subprocess. This may be necessary, for example, to add objects to a list.
Removing objects from the list using the "x" icon, the Delete button
and the <Delete> keys can be executed without going into the object selection subprocess.

The subprocess of selecting objects can be launched automatically after invoking some commands, for example commands for shifting objects, plotting copies etc. This happens in the case objects are not selected before invoking the command. |
