Copy objects are associated with the source objects. Changing of source objects can be transferred to the copy objects automatically or manually.

Automatic updating of the copy (the default option)

Geometry changes to the source objects are automatically propagated to the copy objects. If the source of objects is Selected file,then to update the copy you need to rebuild the model containing it. In this case, before the rebuild, an icon is displayed next to the copy's name in the Model Tree.

Update manually

The change in the geometry of the original objects is transferred to the copy objects after calling the update command from the context menu of the copy or during the process Copy management. To update all copies contained in a model, you can use the command Edit — Update copy operations . More about updating copies of geometric objects manually...

If you select manual update, the following options are available:

Update on command and monitor source — allows you to receive information about changes to the original objects of the copy; if there are changes, an icon appears next to the copy name in the Design tree ;

Update by command — no changes are checked; an icon is displayed next to the copy's name in the Design tree .

If the option of automatic updating or manual updating with checking for changes was selected for the copy, then the system also informs the user about loss of the copy objects source file — an attribute of error appears in the Design Tree.

If the copy updating option is manually without checking for changes, the attribute of error does not appear.
