Controlling the display of scroll bars and automatic image shift is performed in the Text editor scroll bars of setting dialog box.
To access the section, call the command Settings — Parameters... 
and in the dialog box that appears, select System — Text editor — Text editor scroll bars.

Once you have finished configuring the settings, click the Apply and Close button. To exit the dialog without saving the changes, click the Cancel button.
