Reversing the direction of the normal vector of the auxiliary plane |
Scroll |
When creating or editing an auxiliary plane, you can reverse the direction of the normal.
In the graphics area, the normal direction is indicated by an arrow. Its direction coincides with the positive direction of the Z-axis of the coordinate system of the plane being created.
When you hover the cursor over the arrow, a tooltip appears with information about the plane’s normal direction.
To change the normal direction, use one of the following methods:
•On the Parameter Panel, click the button Direction of normal
,
•In the graphics area, click the arrow indicating the direction of the normal.
When creating planes using certain commands, such as Offset plane, multiple planes may be created at once. If you change the normal direction while using such a command, it will change for all the planes being created.

If you change the direction of the normal while editing a plane, be aware that the geometry associated with that plane may change. The geometry’s position, construction direction, and other properties may also change. This depends on how the plane was used when the geometry was created. |
