In commands for measuring distance and angle, the area of a face, a solid, or a surface, or the length of an edge, you can create an object «measurement». At the same time, the model automatically generates information variables, whose values are equal to the measurement results.
When selecting an object «measurement» In the Model Tree, the measurement object(s) are highlighted in the graphical area.

When using the Distance and Angle command, an object may be created depending on the status of the Brief option «measurement» with a reduced or full set of variables. |
If necessary, the object «measurement» You can edit it by changing, for example, the object(s), units of measurement, etc. Editing an object «measurement» Can be launched in one of the following ways:
•double-click on an object in the Model Tree;
•select the object in the Model Tree and select the Edit command
from the context menu or the Edit menu.
Object «measurement» You can delete from the model or exclude from the calculation.
Object «measurement» maintains a constant connection with its objects; that is, after editing a model in a way that affects the measurement result, the value of the variable corresponding to that measurement changes. If an object «measurement» was excluded from the calculation, the new value of the variable is calculated after the object is included in the calculation.
Sometimes editing a model can cause the object to degenerate «measurement». For example, the two points between which the distance was measured coincided. In this case, the object «measurement» is marked as incorrect in the build tree.
When an object involved in the measurement is removed, the object «measurement» is deleted.
