Use of Clipboard while working with objects |
Scroll |
When working with graphic documents, it is often necessary to copy or move some part of an image within a single document or to other documents.
For these purposes in KOMPAS-3D, a native clipboard is used instead of the standard Windows clipboard.
|
Sometimes (normally, while moving text fragments) it is possible to use the Windows Clipboard. References to this are presented in descriptions of respective operations. |
The volume of information which can be placed into the clipboard is unlimited. Contents of the clipboard is saved on the disk in a special system file. During a new copying or cutting into the Clipboard, its previous contents are destroyed.
The clipboard allows to conveniently copy or transfer drawing objects. However, whenever a precise shift or complicated copying is required (for example, over a rectangular or concentric grid), use special editing commands (see sections Shift and Commands to copy objects).
|
Copying and transfer of data via the clipboard is only possible between opened documents in the same application KOMPAS-3D. |
