Placing objects into the Clipboard can be carried out with their simultaneous removal them from the document or without removal.
In the first case, the so-called cut into clipboard is performed. The process including the cut into clipboard and insert from clipboard is called transfer through clipboard.
In the second case, copying into clipboard is performed. The process including copying into clipboard and insertion from clipboard is called copying through clipboard.
When copying or cutting into the clipboard, its previous contents are removed.
To place objects into the clipboard, do the following actions.
1.Select all objects (for methods of selection see section Object selection), which you need to place on the clipboard.
2.Invoke the Cut
(to cut to clipboard) or Copy
(to copy to clipboard) command.
The shape of the cursor will change
.
3.Set a point which will be basic for the selected set of objects.
Setting the basic point is not required if the following are selected:
•objects belonging to different types of a drawing,
•view or several views entirely.
In these cases, the origin of the absolute coordinate system (the left bottom corner of the drawing sheet) is automatically taken as the basic point.
Besides, pointing to the basic point is not necessary if a text fragment is placed into the clipboard.
