Inserting objects from the Standard Products application |

Follow these steps to insert an item from the Standard Products application (hereinafter the application) in the BOM.
1.In the BOM, call the command Applications — Standard items — Insert item.
Find and select the required object (bolt, screw, nut, bearing, node, connection, etc.) in the application, then press the Select button. For more details on object selection, see the application documentation.
The BOM item will be located in the BOM in the section defined by the application. For example, a fastener will be added to the Standard items section. If there is no such section yet, then when you insert an item, it will be created automatically.
The text part of the item will be formed according to the filling template, taking into account the selected item parameters from the library. The text part can be edited later (see section Editing BOM item text filled by a template).
2.After inserting the first item, the library window remains on the screen for insertion of the next one. Select and insert the following item if required.
You can insert multiple identical items. In this case Duplicate objects In the quantity corresponding to the number of inserts. By default, duplicate items are grouped together and displayed in the BOM as a single row.
To stop inserting click the button Cancel in the Reference window.

If there is no need for a separate BOM item for each item inserted from the Reference, you don’t need to use the "duplicate" items. To do this, insert only one item from the Reference, and then enter the required value in the Quantity column. |

You can insert objects into the BOM from another application, including a custom application, provided that it has been programmed accordingly. The insertion is done in the manner provided by each application. |
