It is invoked by the command Document Code... in the context menu of the fields Designation and Name of the created object. If the code and name were previously specified for a specification object, they are replaced with the newly selected ones.
When creating items in the Documentation section, you may need to add an additional code to the designation of the document — AS (Approval Sheet), IS — (Information Sheet), VS — (Verification Sheet). Automatic insertion of a double code in the system KOMPAS-3D is not provided. If the document designation must contain two codes, for example, AD–LU, then the separator and the second code — LU, UL, or UD — must be entered manually in the Code field of the dialog box. •if display of the document code is document code display enabled,
•if a Create field type Designation with data type String, associated with the title cell Document designation — in this column, the code is inserted, and the name is added to the text in the column of type Name.
The BOM styles supplied with KOMPAS–3D distribution kit are configured so that code and name insertion is possible in all sections except for Standard items, Other parts and Materials, and the document code display is enabled only in the Documentation section.
