Export to fragment |
Scroll |
You can export the current BOM to the KOMPAS–3D fragment file (*.frw). Use the following procedure.
1.Connect the Service tools (file komlib.rtw), if it is not connected.
2.Call the Add-Ons – Service Tools — Operations with BOM – Convert BOM to Fragment command.
If at the moment of calling the command in KOMPAS–3D the BOM was active, this (current) BOM will be exported.
If at the moment of calling the command the current document was other than BOM, the system will display a standard dialog for choosing a file to open. Select the required BOM in it.
If the exported BOM has more than one page, the detailing dialog will appear on the screen, see figure.
3.In this dialog select the method to arrange the BOM pages in the fragment field (table. Controls of detailing dialog).
4.After setting all the detailing parameters click OK to start the export.

Description |
|
BOM |
Reference field containing the full file name of the saved BOM. |
|
Number Sheets |
Reference field containing the number of sheets of the saved BOM is indicated. |
|
Dimension Size of Each Sheet |
Reference field containing the dimension of sheets of the saved BOM (in mm). |
|
Number sheets BOMs in a row |
In this field you can enter the number of sheets of the BOM in the horizontal row. With the fixed total number of sheets, the specified number will also unambiguously determine the number of rows to place all sheets of the BOM. |
|
Spacing between sheets |
In this field, you can enter the distance (in millimeters) that should be left between the external borders of the adjacent BOM sheets. |
|
Overall size |
This reference field shows the overall size of the exported BOM image with the selected detailing. To change the overall size (for example, to place a BOM on a sheet of paper of a given size), change the size of the gap between the sheets and their arrangement in rows. |
|
Every sheet BOM:write macro-element |
If this option is enabled, the segments and texts that make up each sheet of the BOM form a macro-element in the resulting file. |
The system will create a new fragment and place an image of the BOM sheets in it. This image will consist of KOMPAS–3D graphic items — segments and texts. They will be grouped into macro-elements if the relevant option is enabled.
All information related to the original BOM (items, settings, etc.) in the fragment will be lost. It will only contain the text parts of objects (in the form of separate texts in cells), a BOM table (in the form of segments) and a title block (in the form of segments and separate texts in cells).
In the resulting fragment all the tools for editing graphic documents of the KOMPAS–3D system will be available.
|
There is no link between the new fragment and the original BOM. Therefore, you should not expect that the changes made to the BOM will be reflected in the fragment obtained from it. |
