Export to DXF, DWG and IGES |
Scroll |
You can export the BOM in DXF, DWG and IGES formats. Use the following procedure.
1.Open the BOM you want to export.
2.Invoke the File — Save As command and in the File Type field of the dialog that appears, select the required file extension (dxf, dwg, or igs).
3.Press the Save button.
If in the File type list the DXF or DWG line is selected, then the Parameters button will appear in the dialog. This button calls a dialog to set up writing of a document to a selected format. Here you can specify the version number of the format, configure the export of text and special characters. For a multipage BOM, you can set the parameters for placing pages in the field of the resulting document (the number of sheets in a row and the spacing between sheets). Having completed the configuration, close the dialog by pressing the OK button, then press the Save button in the file save dialog.
You can’t configure export of IGES files.
The system will create the file in the required format and place the image of the BOM sheets in it. The image (like when exporting to the fragment) will consist of segments and texts.
Although the exported files lose the properties of the KOMPAS–3D BOM (the order of filling the document, link with the assembly drawing, ability to auto–sort and position items, etc.) and cannot be further edited by means of the BOMs design module, they will allow viewing and printing BOMs on the workplaces that are not compatible with KOMPAS–3D BOM files.
