The style of the BOM document and the style included in the BOM description in the document (see section BOM description), is embedded in this document. Due to this, you can work with BOM items even if there’s no *.lyt library containing the BOM style. You can’t edit the BOM style stored in the document.
In addition, the document stores a link to an external library file *.lyt containing the style used. The link includes the path to the library and the style number in it. Due to this, when changing the style in the library, you can update and reread the document style.

All references in the current document, including references to *.lyt libraries, can be viewed in the information dialog on the External references page. To open this dialog box, run the File – Document information... command. |

The BOM style is embedded in the document starting from KOMPAS–3D ver. 13. If the document was created in an earlier version, then in the absence of the *.lyt library containing the BOM style used in it, you can’t work with BOM items in this document (you can’t open the BOM document in this case). |
