On excluding an object from a numeration group, the number assigned to it may be deleted from the list of group objects or left as vacant numbers. This depends on the value of the parameter Auto-rebuilding of numbering, which is set when setting numbering parameters.

If the Yes value is selected (auto-rebuilding is enabled), then on excluding an object from the group – automatic re-building of object numbers of this group which are in the list after the one being excluded is performed. No vacant numbers will be left. If the nan value is selected (auto-rebuilding is disabled), numbers of group objects do not change, and in the list only the lines containing vacant numbers will remain.

On exclusion of an object that takes the last line of the list, its number in the list is deleted regardless of the value of the Auto-rebuilding of numbering parameter, i.e. there will be no line containing a vacant number.

For the #Auto-sorting group, you can’t disable auto-building of numeration, so this group can’t contain vacant numbers.

Subsequently, the list lines containing vacant numbers can be deleted manually (their deletion is similar to exclusion of objects from the group) or automatically, having enabled the numeration re-building.

You can create in the list an arbitrary number of lines containing vacant numbers. To that end, disable auto-rebuilding of numbering and move the last object in the list by a required number of downward items.
